Baby Showers are the foundation of AHEART. because this is how we collect donated items to stock the Special Heart Boutique and Diaper Bank. At the baby showers, individuals, organizations, churches, and anyone else participating will learn why AHEART exists, how they can help, as well have an opportunity to play fun games and win prizes.
What is an AHEART Baby Shower?
These unique baby showers serve a dual purpose. Everyone brings an unwrapped infant gift to (YOU) the Hostess, who collects the items and donates them to AHEART. All donated items will be taken to families in similar situations.
We also will give a presentation to bring attention to the situations that are affecting infants in New Jersey. We will advise your guests on the current statistics and sad but true stories of infants in crisis. We will discuss a variety of ways they can make a difference and we'll encourage them to get involved by volunteering and learning more about agencies like AHEART and CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates).

How to Host a Baby Shower?
Hosting a baby shower is an easy and fun way to make a big difference in the life of a Special Heart Baby.
1. Choose a date and location
Ideas for locations: Your home, church, school, community centers, etc.
2. Contact AHEART to confirm a date
AHEART provides a shower coordinator, invitations, games & video presentation.
3. Choose 10 or more guests
Invite: Family, Friends, Neighbors, Co-workers, etc.
4. Prepare for your baby shower event
We will need approximately two hours. You may wish to provide simple refreshments such as cake, fruit and a beverage. Please provide a TV and DVD player for our video presentation. All gifts must be unwrapped or placed in gift bags.
What gifts can I bring?
Special Hearts Boutique exists to help abandoned babies who come into this world with no place to go. We keep supplies in stock which are readily available to help a family in need or temporary caregivers who can't afford to buy things for the baby they are looking after. We’re all able to do something to make a difference. Please donate new and gently used baby items for the boutique. Come have fun and change a life forever.
